bewildered
Yesterday I was at DSI, met my supervisor (aka yang "meh meh"), discussed and finalised my project objectives so that the next time I go there, I can start doing on my own le.. As he needed to explain to me where the stuffs are situated, we went to the cleanroom after the discussion.. Inside the cleanroom, there's this solvent that I needed to use.. It's contained in a heavy stainless steel tin.. The previous time I went DSI, we used this solvent to prepare the lubrication solution.. Becoz the tube used to extract the solvent from the tin was very fine, some of the solvent was wasted as we poured out some on the tin accidentally.. However, it evaporated very quickly into the air.. At that point of time, I seriously thought that the solvent is very cheap, that's why my supervisor "dun mind" wasting it.. I was wrong!! I was told yesterday that One tin of the solvent costs USD$3500! Yesh, US dollar!! Which is almost $5000 Sing dollar.. Can you imagine, the little amount that we had wasted could cost up to a few hundred dollars.. And that few hundred dollars juz "evaporated" once it's exposed to air.... '''''-_- Well, another thing is, I've calculated.. Almost 5 tins of the solvent could pay off my school fees le! *eVil plotS going thru my mind* hahax!
